Life Changes

It was around midnight and I was finishing up on my computer about to get up to go to bed. Jen turned around and asked if I heard someone talking outside the glass door. I had my headphones in so I said no. I took them out to realize someone was yelling. I mean yelling. So we are like what the hell its midnight I'm tired and want to go to bed. We look out side and the building close to ours was ingulfed in flames.  Before I could even figure out where my shoes were to get out and check to see if they need help Jen Just bolted down and ran over there like a zombie was after her. I have never seen her run so fast. I am not even sure if she had shoes on to start or somehow she knows the skills of putting them on as you are running like a madman.

When we got down there I think a firetruck was just showing up. Jen Helped a lady out who had singed hair and was dazed out of her mind. Who wouldn't be? She's loosing everything right before her eyes :( She mumbled something about her mother was still in there. As the ambulance came to take her we thought we heard someone say that her mom made it out. Prayers answered for the moment. 

Today we found out that the mother didn't make it. I think she got out but the horrible smoke got her. The lady Jen helped out is in critical care for the smoke is doing a number on her as well.

Makes you think,  Life is short. Very short so enjoy every moment you have with your loved ones. Don't take like seriously and Enjoy your time. If everyday is hell then you better make some changes. I am.


Last Aug I quit smoking pretty much cold turkey. I feel so much better. Last week I did my first 5K run since I was in the military. Though my time was way over doubled before I messed up my back and knees. (Walked 1/2 of it) I'm hiring someone so I don't have to work everyday. Though there will be less money to play with. I'm creating a team to do the toughmudder in Southern California. on my birthday. 11 mile run up a mile high mountain. Yes from the start line theres a 1 mile climb (2300ft) to the top then Back down. Next pay check I told Ray I'm going to buy a bike and we are going to ride from the top of Mt Tampalis home. I'm been doing a little more at a time and I think I can do it. Lets pray my knees and back allows me to.


What changes are you going to make?  More time with family? more vacation? 

Batting Frood

Broke down

So yesterday October 7th my truck broke down on the side of the road.

All I heard was a popping sound. It reminded me of when my Driveshaft came off my Jeep when I was in the military. Just not as loud.  When this happened there wasn't much room on the side of the road to pulll off. Just enough for me to get over and leave about a foot of space to the white line. I had no choice.

After waiting 3 minutes to have an opening so I could open the door without hitting a semi truck driving buy.

So I called Geico's Emergency Road Side Service to get a tow truck and when I was on the phone, a cop pulled behind me and on the loud speaker he said "put your phone away." or atleast what I thought. after telling the Geico rep I had to set down the phone for some strange reason, Like I was calling for back up or something. I realized after Pat told me, He asked If I had help on the way.

Looks like my spark plug blew out the dealership thinks. Said it would be around $1000 depending how easy it would be. Better that then something bigger like a full cylinder or engine.

Pooters, Tooters, and Pooter tooters

.So I'm trying to do a comparison youtube video on the various fake farters  like the famous  "The Pooter" by jack vale,  the tooter, the pooter tooter, Le Tooter, Le quifer.

Well I have yet to get any of them.  The Pooter I had sent to my old address which is forwarded but not sure if it will get here (ordered sept 25th). My stupid mistake! The Le Tooter I ordered on Sept 25th and was given the right address but no luck.

The other I ordered 2 days ago and can't wait to test them out!

Each day is like christmas day but the mail man has yet to deliver one after 10 days. I'll be calling customer service tomorrow.

Rough Day!

Was at a job today and did demo of removing the shelves in a closet and this is what happened to me. 7' long and close to a foot in most areas.  It was very frustrating for this has never happened to me before.  I wasn't able to patch it for I didn't have enough mudd to do such a large area. I'll be going back tomorrow to repair the hole. I'll post a  after photo to see how good it looks :)

Needless to say this isn't the only bad thing that happened, after doing this I went back to my truck to find someone smashed into my side mirror. The mirror is cracked throughout and won't stay in one place so its impossible to use.

Good thing is Jen cooked up some great food and was very  relaxing once I got home.

I'm trying to get into a more healthly life style that I challenged Ray to do walking or running 3 miles a day. I'm pretty stubburn so we'll see who makes it last the longest everyday. Hopefully I'll keep it up.

The Plans

I just bought a Panasonic HDC-TM90  http://www.intellireview.com/productDetail.php?prodid=848521233&category=d47 and I used it last night for the first time. I hope to beable to put more videos on my blogs to make it more enjoyable.


My goal is to make a video something like this  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvxNgdFeWqM  But of just video of people. Maybe with a song in the background of people of San Francisco cause there are plenty of weirdo's besides  myself that live in this area.  I am going to go down town today and figure out what I can take video of and start getting a collection going. I have today and tomorrow off so I should have some time to be able to get some good footage. Hopefully this will be a start of something good. Pat Neil is coming down in the next week or two to help out. With his video experience it should help out and would be awesome to learn a couple things or two.

Lately we've been going through and selling/donated all the left over crap in my garage. We've got it down pretty good but I am having a hard time finding anyone to buy my media collections. I have 3351 sealed cds, 1500 records and 235 dvds. I'm playing them on ebay so hopefully that works.

My New Townhouse

So with Elfa sale coming up I have been toying with the idea of hiring another installer for I've kept my helper busy since January and the Winter sale was just over bearing and caught me by surprise. I thought about Buddy, so I asked and since he has his two precious girls up there he declined. I guess I'll keep trying to get him to atleast come and visit. I had Jordan come help me for a week which was nice to see such a old good friend. And I kept talking to Jen and Ray about helping with the installs down here since they were not enjoying where they were working now. They were also in the process of finding another place to move to in Sutherlin as well, so I figured now would be the best time to fully ask if they wanted to come down. So After word I got approved for the house I applied for they put their two week notice into their work and started making plans on coming down here. So on June 5th they should be in bright sunny California. I am very excited. With 3 other stores down here I'm hoping to snag a 2nd store to do the installs for and with Ray down here it will make the chances so much higher.
Erica was going to join us as well but sadly she decided it was best to stay behind and move in with two of our other friends. She'll atleast come down to visit for 2 weeks while she helps us move into our new place. I guess we will turn the room she was going to get into a game/movie/guest room. Maybe while she's down here for 2 weeks we can convince her that California is way better!

So I am approved for the townhouse I applied for. I couldn't think of any other place that was more perfect. the bottom floor is all garage. I can finally clear out one of my 10x20 storage units, and be able to just go home instead of making special trips to unload or load up Elfa product.  Here's a description of the townhouse:
